How we work it out
- Hours a month are the times a month, multiplied by the minutes each, divided by 60.
- A job done each working day happens 21 times a month, about 250 days a year after public holidays.
- A job done each week happens 4.33 times a month: 52 weeks over 12 months.
- A year is 12 months, with no time off for leave.
- The cost is the hours times the hourly cost you set, now $35 (USD).
- The suggested hourly cost is a typical figure for each currency, not a conversion. Change it to match your team.
- Automation gives back about 80 percent of the time. Someone still checks the odd exception.
- Hours are rounded to one decimal under 10. Money is rounded to the nearest $1 a month and $10 a year.
- A working day is 8 hours, and one full-time month is 168 hours.
