Who we are.
Lilac Fragment is a digital agency in South Africa. We are responsible for the details you send us through this website. You can reach us at hello@lilacfragment.co.za. You can also message us on WhatsApp at 083 440 4541.
What we collect.
When you send our "Tell us what you need" form, we receive your name, your email address or WhatsApp number, the services you picked, anything you wrote in the message box, the page you sent it from, and the date and time.
You do not have to give us these details, but we cannot reply without a way to reach you.
Why we collect it.
We use your details only to reply to your request and, if you ask us to, to do the work. We do not sell, rent or share your details.
We only send you marketing emails if you tick the optional tips box on a form. We save when and where you ticked it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and once you use it we do not email you marketing again.
Where it goes.
Your request is emailed to our business inbox. A copy is also saved in a private database on our web hosting account, which the public cannot reach. Only Lilac Fragment reads it.
How long we keep it.
If no work follows, we delete your request within 12 months. If we work together, we keep what we need for as long as the law says we must keep business records. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Website and email checks.
When you submit a website audit or email-domain check, we save the website address or domain, the time, the public check results and any error returned by the checker in our private CRM history. We use this to understand tool usage and identify issues our services could help with.
We leave out website query strings, fragments and login details. If you enter an email address for a domain check, we save only its domain. We do not record what you type before submitting, and these records do not include your name or contact details.
Running a check does not ask us to contact you. If you want help, use the contact form. The CRM shows recent checks from the last 12 months. Older monthly records are removed as new checks come in.
Your rights.
You can ask what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Email hello@lilacfragment.co.za and a person at Lilac Fragment will deal with your request.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your details, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
